Fire Safety Awareness Course

Half Day

Who should attend?

Suitable for people over 16 years old and is designed for teachers and staff who work in a school or office environment and wish to have fire safety skills to be able to act in an emergency. The course covers adult and child information.

Content

The content of the course will cover:

  • Legislation
  • Workplace policy
  • Fire Triangle
  • Untidy/safe workplace
  • Types of ignition
  • Types of fire arrest equipment
  • Emergency action plan
  • Optional: Practical use of fire extinguishers*

* The course is 3 hours long, however additional time is required if a practical session is requested

Certification

A non-accredited Certificate of Attendance will be awarded on completion of the course.

Pre-requisites

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline.
