Course Description

This course is for people requiring Appointed Person status, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Who is the course suitable for?

This 1 day course is ideal for school teachers and teaching assistances or businesses with low to medium incident risk. The students can carry out the duties of a First Aider with this training.
Course content:
•    Accident Reporting / First Aid Box
•    Actions in an Emergency
•    Resuscitation – Adult/Child/Baby
•    Airway management
•    Care of the unconscious casualty
•    Choking
•    Bleeding
•    Shock
•    Fractures
•    Burns

Assessment and certification

Certification is dependent upon the successful on going assessment of the student throughout the course. Participants will receive a HSE Approved Certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Duration: 1 day (6 hours) or as x2 3 hour twilight sessions 4pm – 7pm.

Prices: The cost of the one-day course as a group booking is £350, when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 16 candidates and includes certification books. There are no additional costs.  OR £50 per person on our 'open Courses'.
