Young Lifesaver Award
This course is designed for school children from Year 5 to Years 10 and as part of their PSHE and Citizenship curriculum in Key Stages.
Courses can be delivered at your School or Youth Centre.
Course contents:
- Primary Survey
- Recovery Position
- Calling 999
- Rescue Breaths
- CPR
- Choking
- Bleeding/Shock
- Fractures
The courses would be tailored to the group and their abilities with the intention of awarding them with a Young Life Savers Award certificate.
The Young Lifesavers Award is not only a useful skill that helps to teach young people to save and preserve someone’s life, but it also helps to promote Confidence, Teamwork, Communication skills and Listening Skills.
Total Course Time: 2 x 2 hour sessions (9am - 3pm approx)
Costs: £155 (daily rate within Cambridgeshire)
A5 card certificate 50p per person
Requirements: One classroom is required and flip chart stand
