Manual Handling Training In Cambridgeshire
Why Manual Handling Training Matters for Your Business
Manual handling causes one in five workplace injuries. These accidents hurt your staff and cost you money. Many employers think light loads are safe. But lifting wrong, day after day, damages backs over time.
Our Manual Handling Cambridgeshire training stops this. We offer two regulated and nationally recognised qualifications. Both are accredited by Qualsafe and meet UK legal requirements.
Training is not optional; it is the law. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 say you must train staff. Our course meets this duty.
Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF)
The course covers common manual handling injuries, manual handling laws and the duties of employers and employees. It covers risk checks, risk control and the musculoskeletal system.
You will learn what can happen when a person is moved the wrong way, how to create a safe handling plan, and how to maintain their dignity. It also covers safe movement steps and unsafe moves.
You will learn about hoists, slings and other aids, how to use them, and how to keep them safe and tested. Practical sessions include moving people and objects alone or with a team, and using moving aids.
